NW Children's Events 2010
As in previous years, there will be a winter and summer series of events for children. These events are for youngsters aged 8 to 16 (age at 31/12/10) and include short course as well as full distance races so that all levels of ability are catered for.
The winter series comprises the following events:
2010 Winter Series
07/03/10 Warrington Duathlon
14/03/10 Bolton Junior Aquathon
21/03/10 Deva Junior Aquathon (Chester)
18/04/10 Salt Ayre Junior Duathlon
02/05/10 Warrington Junior Aquathon
Series criteria
- Athletes must compete in at least one Duathlon and one Aquathon.
- Having satisfied the above, an athlete's best three results will count.
- Athlete's scores will be based on a percentage of the winner's time.
- Athletes must be paid up Triathlon England members by the last race of the series
There are still a few outstanding details to resolve with regard to the summer series and so neither a series criteria nor Inter Regional Championships (IRCs) selection policy can be stated at this point in time. The IRC date has not yet been fixed either. However, it is envisaged that the following races will form part of the series.

18/07/10 Warrington Triathlon (TBC)
25/07/10 Boundary Breeze (Youths only)
August/10 Troutbeck Triathlon
19/09/10 Deva Junior Triathlon
26/09/10 Fleetwood Triathlon
Scoring for all races will be the same as the winter series with the exception of the emboldened races. In these races, the first NW athlete will be assumed to be the winner and all other NW competitors scores based on a percentage of that time.
